Definitely looks better with the black effect. Contrasts well with the white tyrant vivid plasma :D

It's strange. In a lot of screeshots by other people, searing plasma looks terrible, but in my screenshots and in my game, the effect looks amazing. It must have something to do with how the game renders the particles within different settings.
